Why the Info Dump?

"Info Dump" is a programming term to describe publishing all information on a problem to all parties concerned. In other words, share everything with everyone.

All the posts today were prompted by Nick hanging up on my wife, again, again and again.

OK Nick. You don't play nice, I'm done holding back. All "publicly available intel" gets posted.

Contact Information - CPA

This is the Certified Public Accountant that audits Galway records and publishes the Annual Financial Report.
(Nick told us the AFR (Annual Financial Report) is sent from the CPA (Certified Public Accountant ) to each homeowner. Murry, the CPA, said he sends a sealed / bound copy and a open copy to Nick.

I think one of them must be confused. I report, you decide.

U.S. Mail Service at Galway

The mail service here seems especially bad.

We get other peoples mail, some of ours seems to go missing. Sets of mail I know were mailed together dribble in over days. It is better now than six months ago but I think only because we've talked to the carrier about it.

It's not just the carrier of course, it's the postal service in general (I hear the north Bay Area is known nationwide as the worst postal service in the country).

Woohoo, we're number one! We're number one! Woohoo!

I'm just sharing intel with my neighbors. I don't know what to do about it. Have a nice weekend.

Rumors

Talking to another resisdant, I hear the BOD (Board of Directors) has re-elected themselves to the BOD (Board of Directors).

My Opinion: According to the CC&R's and Bylaws, they are not allowed to do that. The BOD isn't even allowed to vote. Only the HOA members can vote. The BOD is specifically prohibitted from HOA voting.

I also hear the BOD has elected themselves to be the Architectural committee.

My Opinion: According to the CC&R's and Bylaws, they are specifically prohibitted from serving on the Architectural Committee.

I also heard that the BOD has gone and voted themselves the authority to levee fines for speeding, barking dogs and gawd knows what else. They didn't notify this household.

My Opinion: According to the CC&R's and Bylaws, the BOD cannot vote themselves this authority, only a full vote of the HOA members can do that. If the CC&r's, Bylaws, etc. , are going to be modified, it not only takes a membership vote (and the BOD may not vote on it) but the CC&R's MUST be refiled with the county. I will check to see if they did, but I really doubt they have.

So, the BOD is not dully elected, they many not serve on the Architectural Committee and they have no authority to diktat fines beyond not paying HOA dues.

I don't know if we currently have a Board of Directors. I do know there is no Secretary / Treasurer. I also know there is no Architectual Commitee.

I say we really should have a BOD that the property manager answers to.

For Commandress:
1. Thank you so much for the compliment!
2. I agree with you about the lawns.
3. Some people around here think my driveway is for them or their visitors to park in. Took us months to get them to stop. Can you believe that? How to get residents to stop using visitor parking
is beyond me at this point.

For anonymous:
1. If you are the owner, I know the HOA (home owners association) is required by law to provide you with all the HOA documentation. It is also available from the county. I don't know if the HOA can charge you for it but I badgered the property manager until I got a copy of everything (no charge).

Somebody screwed up in not providing you with the docs when you bought a home here. I'll dig up my records and post the property management company info for you.

The Profile feature is still fouled up somehow. So I'll share via a post for now.

I am a resident and owner here in Galway Place, therefore a member of the Home Owners Association. I started this web space to facilitate communication between resisdents and / or owners.

I am not being paid, I am not a member of the Board of Directors (nor their proxy) and am not associated with Nick the property manager. I just live here.

If you are concerned about your privacy, you may post comments annomynously. I can track the ISP (internet service provider, I use Comcast) but not your identity or your computer. The ISP firewall prevents outsiders from seeing that information.

Fodder is a nickname. I like my privacy, too.

Recycle Bin Liberator

The, um, Urban Camper, that is liberating the contents of the neighborhood recycle bins has been coming around my place about 11:00 pm on Tuesday nights. Last night he was here at 10:41 pm.

The other Urban Camper person that came in the mornings, around 4:00 am, seems to have gone elsewhere.

And now you know.
