South homeowner wins small claims case over loss of rental income
Homeowner was unable to rent unit during the Edgewater Isle South Homeowners Association reconstruction after a lawsuit settlement. Plaintiff is an owner of a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo that could not be rented during the reconstruction period in the Edgewater Isle South.
Homeowner sued for loss of rental income and won a judgment over Association for $1,371.

This lawsuit was one of two known lawsuits against the homeowners associations for loss of rental income during reconstruction. The second suit, filed by a North homeowner, was more complicated and involved a higher dollar amount. Both cases resulted in the homeowner receiving damages for the loss of rental income from their condos during reconstruction.
