Edgewater Isle Senior Apartments and HIP Housing sued, allegedly failed to return security deposit
January 10, 2023 — Redwood City resident Mona Mahmoud has filed a claim in San Mateo County Small Claims Court against Edgewater Isle Senior Apartments and its owner HIP Housing for $9,500 for "failure to return security deposit, moving cost, failure to offer disability accommodations, and [punitive] damages."
In response, the Edgewater Isle Senior Apartments filed a counter claim against the plaintiff for almost $2,250. The Edgewater Isle Senior Apartments claims their damages by plaintiff include damage to a shower pan and unpaid rent.
The case is scheduled for a small claims court hearing in the South San Francisco branch on February 10, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.
